Direct mail marketing has been dominating different industries for quite some time now, but have you ever wondered why? In a time where technology rules everything around us, it is fairly easy to forget about what the difference a letter landing in your mailbox can make.

If you are at all confused by what that means, then you are going through an identical thought process to one that I personally went through less than a year ago when I was introduced to Steven Butala and Jill DeWit of LandAcademy. Together, they have purchased and sold over 16,000 properties while creating millions of dollars in equity without incurring a single dollar in debt.
They created a system where they would send blind offers to people who own vacant land in order to acquire property for below market value price and flip it for profit. It is quite amazing to think that a letter sent years ago made enough of an impression to be dug up once the recipient was ready to sell. This has occurred on multiple occasions and continues to happen today.
