We have discussed various templates and letters in the last few blogs. However, today we will be discussing why the senders of the colorful pieces of papers, commonly known as postcards, that have landed in our mailboxes multiple times will not be receiving any phone calls. 

We have all received mixed opinions when it comes to Postcard Marketing Campaigns, as some claim that they are the best way to get potential interest from sellers and some say these campaigns are a complete waste of funds and have not worked at all. However, some things concerning postcards have been proven. One of those things is a definite lower response rate than letters. This is something that has been proven to us again and again, whether It is a topic of discussion amongst Direct Mail companies and Real Estate Investors or us running tests on our end to ensure that we continue to provide a product with a great response rate.  

Since postcards come in so many different colors, shapes, and sizes, it is easy for them to seem a little unprofessional. There is also a general lack of text due to there not being an abundant amount of space available. This can lead to someone not being able to explain in the postcard itself what they had hoped to achieve by sending it out. 

To be successful with a postcard, you will also need to write an extraordinary, compelling piece of writing and on top of all that, you will have to include images with amazing graphics and color. If company awareness is the main goal, then this is not the worst route to go. Generally, purchases or sales are the main goal of these campaigns because with so many online marketing tools available to us, there is no reason to send out a postcard to raise company awareness alone.  

Repetition is another thing that is mentioned as going handinhand with postcard marketing campaigns. I personally do not see the point in repeatedly spending time and money on a method that barely gave me a response rate the first time.  

Since these postcards have various colors and images, there is also a chance that they are going to be poorly printed and if you want to ensure quality printing then you have to research the best paper to be used for these printings which is another added cost, since paper comes in so many different types of material, thickness etc.
